In the therapeutic setting, I believe that a supportive therapeutic relationship based on trust, mutual respect and a clear understanding of your personal objectives is critical in helping you be able to obtain your short term and long term goals.
Anxiety, fear, depression, decreased self confidence and feelings of low self worth, as well as relationship issues, prevent people from achieving fulfillment and realizing their full potential.
I incorporate different psychotherapeutic philosophies and techniques in working with patients. I also have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is one of two psychotherapeutic treatments approved by the National Institute of Mental Health as being effective in the treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders (the other approved treatment is medication).
I hope that by helping you to identify your goals and by developing a treatment plan, I can assist you in increasing your self-confidence and decreasing any symptoms of anxiety, depression, or feelings of being overwhelmed, in a relatively short amount of time.
Areas of Focus:
- anxiety disorders (panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social phobias,
generalized anxiety disorder)
